Initial sketches
I always start with my trusty sketchbook. It’s where every idea lands first. There’s something special about working with paper and pencil. They give a particular kind of freedom that’s hard to replicate digitally. At this stage I allow myself to be messy. These sketches are rarely pretty, and most of them never see the light of day. But they serve an important purpose. It’s a warm-up, not only for my hand but also for my imagination.

From that exploratory phase, I refined the strongest concepts into polished sketches in procreate.
The client approved them without revisions, and we moved confidently into vector development.

Color Palette
With the base colors already established in the previous project, the focus shifted to adapting and refining the palette for a gym setting before moving into vector development and final assembly.

Format requirements
Finally, with the icons ready to go, I created rasterized versions for tiny 24×24 px sizes, ensuring that everything looks good within the app.
